Fly over Hornsby, Long Reef, Northern Beaches, Mona Vale, Avalon, Palm Beach and Barrenjoey.
Dog fight overhead Palm Beach
Craving that full-throttle adrenaline rush? Ever imagined you and your mate as Maverick and Goose, incredibly talented aviators, ruling the sky in a larger-than-life adventure? Experience all the thrills of military-style formation and show-stopping aerobatics together after a tour over Sydney’s Northern Beaches. There is no better experience to share as you and your wingman fly close enough to see the smiles on each other's faces!
The flight is conducted in the Red Baron Extra Stunt Plane and the Red Baron Pitts Special, Open Cockpit Biplane.
Upon your arrival at Red Baron HQ, Bankstown, make sure you bring your sunnies and your A-game as you suit up into a pilot’s flight suit. Join the Red Baron pilots for your pre-flight briefing and get strapped into our state-of-the-art aircraft. Your family and friends are invited to come along, there will be plenty of photo opportunities before you climb aboard, and fully embrace the life of an air-combat pilot.
Scramble! The hunt begins! You and your wingman will take off side by side in formation and head out for the ultimate experience. This is the real deal; you’ll be able to hear air traffic control and be in constant communication with your Red Baron Pilot.
Heading towards the outer suburbs of Sydney to reach a cruising altitude of 1500ft, you’ll soar over the sprawling Olympic site at Homebush Bay then over the north-western suburbs of Hornsby and St Ives.
You and your wingman will head North flying along the beautiful Sydney coastline. You will have unparalleled views of Manly, Dee Why, Long Reef, Narrabeen, and Avalon. Once overhead the breathtaking Palm Beach we soar to greater heights of 3000-4000 feet.
Keep an eye on your wingman as the dogfight begins! Your aircraft will take turns chasing each other down, putting the aircraft (and your stomach) to the test as you complete impressive aerobatic manoeuvres to avoid each other!
The package isn’t complete before you break away for a more individual aerobatics sequence. Once completed, we re-join formation with your wingman and head back to base for a formation landing.
The Bachelor, Dr Matt Agnew, chose to fly with Red Baron on this exact experience during his date with Monique in the 2019 Bachelor Season!
